My name is Luka Filipovic, and I’m the founder and writer of the blog Cane Corso Pets. I’m a lifelong Cane Corso enthusiast and owner. In my desire to better familiarize other folks with this wonderful dog, I created this blog by applying tireless research, education, and personal experience.
I have owned Cane Corsos my whole life, and I currently have two of them. A 6-year-old male Ares, and a 10-year-old female Donna. They are not just pets to me, but a part of my family. My love and passion for this breed started when I was a child and I saw my first Cane Corso. Ever since then, I have been fascinated by their unique personalities, loyal nature, and versatility as both a working and companion dog.
On my journey of becoming a good Cane Corso owner and a competent leader and trainer of my dogs, I can say that the most important thing was finding the right people from whom you will learn. And so I want to express my gratitude to people who inspired me to dive deeper into the science, and the spirituality of human-dog relationships. Drawing inspiration from people like Ivan Balabanov, Garret Wing, and Cesar Millan, I found great love and joy in working with dogs, and ultimately, their effort toward helping other dog owners is what moved me to create this blog.
As there aren’t any reputable and accurate online resources that focus specifically on Cane Corsos, I started this blog with the goal of it becoming a “library” of comprehensive, accurate, and up-to-date information on all aspects of Cane Corso’s care, training, and behavior. Whether you’re a seasoned Cane Corso owner, a new puppy parent, or someone who admires this breed, this blog is for you. It’s not yet finished, and quite frankly it never will be, but piece by piece, working every day, I will make this blog the space where you can find an answer to all and any questions you might have about our beloved breed the Cane Corso Italiano.
